Diva Bandit! Grand Master! Founder and Enthusiastic Nonsense Fashion Bandit! Reformed Over Serious Academic!
Benedikte St.Pierre is the mastermind of The Fashion Bandits – and loving it. Having discovered at 19 that following the academic career staked out for her was actually extremely boring, she made a complete U-turn and trained as an actress in London – and all of a sudden life was really worth living.
Acting, TV and design
After years of acting she moved into the realm of TV as a TV presenter – which is mostly where she is at the moment. But with a lifelong interest in glorious paper, handwriting, calligraphy and graphic design, she studied Mac design and threw in a bit of web design for good measure.
But as for fashion! Well! Having “suffered” all through childhood by not being allowed to wear the rococo dresses she really felt like wearing, and then, scared off by bad experience, not quite having the courage to face further sneers from her peers by wearing what she really wanted to wear, that all changed in London. Just as with the acting, wearing the maddest of street fashion (and hair) made life really worth living. Unfortunately, as she moved back to Norway, where she is currently living, her courage sank again, and her style was seriously moderated. What a shame.
TFB – wear what you like.
Luckily she pulled herself together and finally, amongst other things, got this site up and running as a start – and hopefully as an inspiration to others to just have more fun with clothes. Go mad or go moderate, it doesn’t matter as long as YOU WEAR WHAT YOU LIKE! And the rest of her philosophy is beautifully stated in the Bandit Fashion Statement.
And for those who want to know more or see the Head Bandit on TV go to:
Despite living far above the Arctic Circle, and thus not having the shortest distance to travel for photo shoots, Arctic Bandit Sindre was recruited, perhaps even forced, to join the Bandits purely because of his wicked sense of humour – and good looks of course. Sindre is a Big Moutain Freeskier with a passion for sunny days in with powder, and is an equally passionate cyclist, an expert gamer, a true evangelist of a Very High Carb Diet – and has an impressive master degree in sleeping. Despite this last merit, as long as he stays awake and performs to perfection on Bandit Shoots, The Fashion Bandit is very tolerant, and indeed honoured to have him as a member of the gang.

Some of Sindre’s contributions as The Arctic Bandit
Nicholas is The Fashion Bandits’ Swedish member. Nicholas has, like so many of his young countrymen, invaded Oslo, but you might just as easily bump into him somewhere else in the world, as he’s very fond of travelling. On Bandit shoots Nicholas, with his stoic calm, takes everything in his stride, and looks at The Fashion Bandit’s enthusiasm and excitement with a calm, perhaps sometimes even puzzled smile, and then takes his directions with dignified grace. To The Fashion Bandit’s great envy, Nicholas manages to look simply smashing from every possible angle, (which certainly does not apply to her), but forgives him as he’s such a darling, and is so happy to have hime as part of the team.
Jeanette is The Fashion Bandits’ greatest style chameleon. Not only does she transform for the sake of The Fashion Bandits’ photos – turn up at a shoot and you’ll never know what look and style Jeanette is sporting just that day. What a true Fashion Bandit spirit! We love her! Jeanette is also a great fan and creater of special effects make-up – the scarier and gorier the better. So stay tuned for some not-so-pretty sights…
What an honour for TFB to have got such a Master Nail Bandit as Kätlin on board! There doesn’t seem to be anything that this highly experienced, Estonian-now-become-Norwegian nail artist Kätlin at Neglhuset, Oslo, can’t come up with when it comes to nail art. And when she’s not creating these works of art? Well – then she’s flying back and forth between Oslo and Tallinn, living here, doing her university degrees there. Seriously. Some have got more energy than others. We’re envious. Now go to our Gallery and be inspired for the most fantastic of nails!
Even is The Fashion Bandits’ solid designer label alibi. If ever there is a rare designer item for sale in Oslo – forget ever getting it. Even will have beaten you to it. Even is also one of those enviable creatures who can wear a sack and still look like he’s just off the catwalk. When Even’s not helping The Fashion Bandits look good, he’s working for Norwegian designer label Moo. Check them out – goooorgeous stuff!
Just like The Arctic Bandit Sindre Solvin, The Flying Bandit Alf-Ole “Alfie” Føre was introduced (indeed by the very same Sindre Solvin) to The Fashion Bandit because of his absolutely fab sense of humour – and – just like Sindre – his exceptionally good looks. Of course. Having discovered Alfie was just as mad as the rest of the gang, and of an exceptionally cheerful disposition, The Fashion Bandit immediately included him in The Fashion Bandit’s Crew, and named him The Flying Bandit.
Because fly is exactly what Alfie does. Well, he doesn’t just fly. He loooooves flying. Flying is his life! And we’re not talking flying regular planes. We’re talking planes with doors that open and from which people like The Flying Bandit simply, madly (to us common mortals) jump out from – in wingsuits. In other words: He’s a skydiver and a base jumper.
Alfie is from the North of Norway, but now lives in Oslo, partly because it´s closer to blue skies. When not jumping or flying, Alf-Ole is a thoroughly dedicated entrepreneur so busy building his own company he – at least as it appears to The Fashion Bandit – doesn’t seem to have time for anything else. Luckily he does find time to appear in The Bandit photos though, and as for the entertainment value of his participation: have no fear, people – The Flying Bandit has so far passed all tests with flying colours – and is more than likely to continue doing so. Quite literally.
